1. Agreement to Terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") form a legally binding agreement between you and UniBHost, a web hosting service operated by UNI-B Agency, Cameroon ("we", "us", or "our").
You must be at least 16 years old to use our services. If you are using our services on behalf of a business or organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that entity to these Terms.
2. Our Services
UniBHost provides the following services:
- Shared web hosting — cPanel-based hosting plans on our server infrastructure (powered by Verpex).
- Domain registration — registration and management of domain names through accredited registrars (Enom, Porkbun).
- Client billing portal — account management, invoice tracking, and payment processing via CamPay mobile money.
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any service at any time with reasonable notice, except where required by law to provide immediate action.
3. Your Account
Registration: You must provide accurate and complete information when creating your account. You are responsible for keeping your account information up to date.
Security: You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password and for all activities that occur under your account. Notify us immediately at support@unibhost.com if you suspect unauthorized access.
One account per person: You may not create multiple accounts to circumvent limits, promotions, or suspensions. Each account represents one individual or organization.
Shared access: You may grant other UniBHost users delegated access to your account. You remain responsible for all actions taken by your delegates within your account.
4. Acceptable Use
You may use our hosting services for lawful purposes only. You agree to use our services in a manner that does not:
- Violate any applicable local, national, or international law or regulation.
- Infringe the intellectual property rights of others.
- Transmit unsolicited bulk email (spam).
- Consume excessive server resources in a way that degrades service for other customers.
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other systems or accounts.
- Distribute malware, ransomware, viruses, or any malicious code.
- Engage in cryptocurrency mining using our servers.
- Operate anonymous proxy services, VPN servers, or Tor exit nodes.
We reserve the right to investigate suspected violations and take appropriate action, including account suspension.
5. Prohibited Content
The following content and activities are strictly prohibited on UniBHost servers:
- Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) or any content that exploits minors.
- Content that promotes hatred, violence, or discrimination based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, or sexual orientation.
- Phishing pages, fraudulent websites, or pages impersonating another person or organization.
- Illegal file sharing or distribution of copyrighted content without authorization.
- Hacking tools, exploit kits, or content that facilitates unauthorized access to computer systems.
- Content that violates the laws of Cameroon or the laws applicable to Verpex's server locations.
We will remove prohibited content and suspend or terminate accounts hosting such content without prior notice and without refund.
6. Billing & Payment
Currency: All prices are displayed in your selected currency and calculated from USD base prices. Final charges are processed in XAF (Central African CFA franc) via CamPay unless otherwise stated.
Payment methods: We accept payments via CamPay (MTN Mobile Money and Orange Money). Additional payment methods may be added at our discretion.
Invoice payment: Invoices are due on or before the due date shown. Services may be suspended after a grace period if payment is not received.
Taxes: Prices shown do not include applicable taxes. You are responsible for any taxes applicable to your purchase.
No chargebacks: If you dispute a payment with your mobile money provider without first contacting us, your account may be permanently suspended. Always contact us first at billing@unibhost.com.
7. Lifetime Price Protection
UniBHost offers Lifetime Price Protection on qualifying hosting plans:
- The price you pay at sign-up is the price you pay at every renewal — we will not increase your renewal price as long as your account remains active and in good standing.
- Price Protection applies to the base hosting plan price and does not cover add-ons, domain registration fees, or services added after the initial purchase.
- Price Protection is voided if your account is cancelled (not suspended) and you re-subscribe later.
- We reserve the right to modify or discontinue the Lifetime Price Protection guarantee for new customers, but existing customers who signed up under this guarantee are protected for the life of their continuous subscription.
8. Renewals & Cancellation
Renewal reminders: We will send email reminders before your invoice is due. It is your responsibility to ensure your contact email is current.
Cancellation: You may cancel your hosting subscription at any time from your client portal. Your service will remain active until the end of the current billing period. We do not offer pro-rated refunds for unused time within a billing period.
Domain names: Domain registrations are non-refundable once purchased and processed. Domain renewals follow the same policy.
Refunds: We offer a refund within 7 days of your first payment on a new hosting account if you are not satisfied. No refunds are issued after 7 days, or on renewals, domain registrations, or accounts suspended for policy violations.
9. Uptime & Service Level
We target 99.9% monthly uptime for our hosting services, excluding scheduled maintenance windows.
Scheduled maintenance will be announced at least 24 hours in advance where possible. Emergency maintenance required to address security threats or hardware failures may occur without advance notice.
Downtime caused by factors outside our control (including actions of third parties, DDoS attacks, upstream provider outages, or force majeure events) is excluded from uptime calculations.
We do not provide SLA credits for downtime. Our commitment to uptime is a best-effort target, not a contractual guarantee with financial penalties.
10. Backups
We may perform periodic backups as a courtesy, but we do not guarantee the availability, completeness, or frequency of these backups. We are not liable for data loss under any circumstances.
11. Suspension & Termination
By us: We may suspend or terminate your account immediately if you:
- Violate these Terms or our Acceptable Use Policy.
- Fail to pay invoices within the grace period.
- Provide false or misleading registration information.
- Engage in activity that poses a risk to other customers or our infrastructure.
Upon termination, your access to our services will cease and your data may be deleted after 30 days. We will make reasonable efforts to notify you before suspension unless immediate action is required for security reasons.
By you: You may terminate your account at any time by cancelling your subscription and contacting us to request account deletion.
12. Intellectual Property
Your content: You retain all ownership rights to content you upload or create on our hosting platform. By using our services you grant us a limited license to store, transmit, and display your content solely as necessary to provide the services.
Our platform: The UniBHost name, logo, website design, and client portal software are owned by UNI-B Agency. You may not copy, reproduce, or use them without our written permission.
13. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:
- UniBHost and UNI-B Agency are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of (or inability to use) our services.
- Our total liability for any claim arising out of these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the three months preceding the claim.
- We are not liable for any loss of data, loss of revenue, loss of business, or other economic loss.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain types of liability. In such cases, our liability is limited to the fullest extent permitted by law.
14. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless UniBHost and UNI-B Agency, and their officers, directors, employees, and agents, from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or in any way connected with:
- Your use of our services.
- Your violation of these Terms.
- Any content you upload or make available through our services.
- Your violation of any third-party rights.
15. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Cameroon. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Cameroon, unless both parties agree to an alternative dispute resolution method.
16. Changes to These Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above and notify registered users by email at least 14 days before the changes take effect.
Your continued use of our services after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
